These awesome portraits, depicting gorgeous drag queens with only half of their faces made up, were all shot by photographer Leland Bobbé for an ongoing series entitled Half-Drag. “My intention with Half-Drag is to capture both the male and the alter-ego female side of these subjects in one image.” The photos are as fascinating as they are beautiful.
Visit Vogue Italy to view all of the Half-Drag project photos that Leland Bobbé has created thus far. Half-Drag is an ongoing, non-commercial project, so if you like what you see, you might consider supporting Bobbé’s project by contributing here.

Here’s an unsettling sight you probably won’t be able to un-see. If there are any pupaphobics present, we apologize, but this simply isn’t something we could keep to ourselves.
Back in 2007 Jason Paul Smith and his friend Rob attended a Halloween party dressed as an impressibly creepy version of the inseparable Sesame Street muppet pair Bert and Ernie, complete with a dead-eyed rubber ducky friend. They already look pretty ominous, so we’re hoping they went all the way and sang Ernie’s bath time rubber ducky serenade.

Check out these incredibly awesome Cardboard Hellboy and Abe Sapien costumes spotted at the 2011 Dragon*Con! Both suits, at least one of which was made by Nikejerk3, are one-of-a-kind and sport such wonderful lines and colours, that they might as well have just stepped out of one of Mike Mignola’s fantastic comic books.

These fantastically fancy chickens were photographed by Peter Lippmann for a series appropriately entitled Luxury Chicks for the French magazine Marie Claire 2.
